Did you did ever own an Intellivision video game console? The Intellivision was multinational toy manufacturer Mattel Inc’s first foray into the home video game market and originally released in 1980.

The original system generated many ‘firsts’ including: the first 16-bit console, talking video game, to offer digital distribution, Pro Sports licensing, 16 Directional Disc and D-Pad controller, real-time strategy, City building God game (Utopia) and creators of the console war.

Fast Forward

Jump forward nearly 4 decades and next month Intellivision Entertainment will reveal their upcoming new family home video game console on Saturday, 20 October at the Portland Retro Gaming Expo.
