We play BAM! with them but professional card stacker Bryan Berg makes building structures with them. Harvard-educated architect Bryan Berg was taught by his grandfather and began card stacking at the age of eight. He has since become a multiple record breaker in the field.
He is thought to be the only person known to make a living building towers and free-standing structures using playing cards and has broken the Guinness World Record for the world’s largest house more than ten times.
Guinness World Record
In 2010 in China, Berg set a third world record taking 44 days using 4051 sets of cards (over 218,000 individual cards) to build a freestanding replica of The Venetian Macao, The Plaza Macao and Sands Macao measuring 10.39 m (34 ft 1.05 in) long, 2.88 m (9 ft 5.39 in) tall and 3.54 m (11 ft 7.37 in) wide.
